LeaderShape 2007 Participants

What is LeaderShape?  LeaderShape, Inc. is a national not-for-profit organization with a mission "to transform the world by increasing the number of people who lead with integrity TM and a healthy disregard for the impossible." LeaderShape, Inc. creates and implements leadership programming for college students in partnership with colleges, universities, and other organizations across the country.

What is The LeaderShape Institute®? "Six intense days of dialogue and interactive self-discovery in a supportive Learning Community."  At The LeaderShape Institute®, participants spend time in small and large groups, discovering more about themselves and their leadership potential while working towards a vision grounded in their deepest values.  Participants explore not only what they want to do, but who they want to be. It's one of the most unique, energizing, and transformative leadership experiences around.

Ohio State will be one of over 80 campuses to host a campus-based session of this national program in 2012.  60 Buckeye students are selected each year to attend, from those who are already involved on campus to those who are just getting started, to students from diverse ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds. Since 1986, over 30,000 participants from more than 200 different colleges, universities, companies and other organizations across America and the globe have graduated from The LeaderShape Institute®.

The Week in Review - LeaderShape utilizes highly interactive program methods rather than classroom lectures. Everyone is a teacher and everyone is a learner. A great deal of work is done in small groups, called Family Clusters. The Family Cluster provides a supportive, safe environment, which promotes learning and the development of new skills and attitudes.

Participants Learn How To:

  • Create a Powerful Vision
  • Build Successful Teams
  • Implement Action Plans
  • Evaluate Personal Strengths and Challenges
  • Experience the Dynamics of Group Problem-solving
